26-09-2024Fitting it went better than when I tried to clone a sata drive to NVMe for the dsektop. This time it was sata m.2 250GB to this NVMe 1TB. CLoned the whole drive, including windows restore image etc then moved the last two partitions using a free partition editor.

> 3 dayMy system has two NVMe drives. The first is a 500GB Samsung and the second is this unit. The Samsung runs OSX and the Crucial runs Linux. The Samsung is vastly more expensive but from a user perspective they function identically in that any microscopic difference between them is beyond human notice. The Crucial is my main drive and it boots in mere seconds. If you want computing joy, get rid of all old style hard drives and go M.2 and SSD for storage...but at this price you could go M.2 for storage!

> 3 dayThis is not the fasted kind in its class but fast enough. I choose this unit as confirmed working on my MBP 2015. It works just fine with my 15 MBP 2015. I purchased the second unit for my 13 MBP 2015. It drains the battery quickly and make my laptop almost unusable.

> 3 dayFairly frustrating that it doesnt come with a single screw to mount it to the motherboard. using tape as an intermediate fix.
