Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1

I did a lot of research on SSDs and decided on the MX500 series. I bought two—250GB and 500GB. Both were to replace hard drives in a Dell laptop and desktop. Crucial provides cloning software and it was extremely easy to clone the old drives to the new SSDs. The performance difference is incredible. Both computers boot noticeably faster and applications open in a flash. Great SSD at a fair price.

Don’t know why but received a 480gb drive - bonus!!!

The drive itself works great, exactly as advertised. I installed this (and 16GB RAM replaced original 4GB) into a 2014 HP Pavilion 17 laptop. The Startup, and opening software are both very fast now. Breathed new life into this computer! The process needs help with HPs, however. The supplied cloning software probably works fine elsewhere, but old Win8 HPs password protected the backup partition, so cloning software couldnt clone that part. After searching online, I installed some HP software to specifically address this, only to find that it doesnt work well with Windows 10. This computer got the free forced upgrade to Win10; it originally started life with Win8. Ill eventually completely re-install Win10 to clean up the partitions on the drive, but in the meanwhile, even though the cloning software said it failed, it only failed on the backup partition and the regular C drive partition is working fine.

Worked fine as a replacement drive for an old HP 8530W

A very good price for this SSD, is a nice way to power up any PC and give a few more years of life.

Works as it should. Durability is unknown at this time.
