Works great and no heat issues. I am NOT overclocking so keep that in mind. I was so happy with this brand and performance I bought more to max out my board. Everything about this tells you its built for performance. Solid construction and wide fins to vent heat makes me feel safe about heat issues.

I dont see how this has a low rating but the black version has 5 stars!?! THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE EXCEPT THESE ARE PAINTED BLUE INSTEAD OF BLACK.

I recently bought this RAM to upgrade my existing system from 8GB to 16GB in order to run multiple VMs at the same time. I have always had Corsair RAM as it has never let me down and these sticks were no exception. Simply dropped them into the motherboard and rebooted. RAM detected with no problems and working just as I expected - perfect.

I tried to install this in a basic small Tower and my hard drives and exhaust fan got in the way because this ram was to tall to fit

This is a limitation of a 32-bit operating system. In Windows, the Windows memory manager is limited to a 4 GB physical address space. Most of that address space is filled with RAM, but not all of it. Memory-mapped devices (such as your video card) will use some of that physical address space, as will the BIOS ROMs. After all the non-memory devices have had their say, there will be less than 4GB of address space available for RAM below the 4GB physical address boundary. MacOS X Tiger and Leopard are both 64-bit operating systems and will not experience this problem. Neither will 64-bit versions of Windows XP or Vista or Windows 7.
