This is an amazing toothpaste for it not having fluoride. I’ve found that a lot of non fluoride toothpastes either taste weird, don’t foam, don’t clean well at all! This is the first one where it feels like a “regular” toothpaste. The mint flavor is very nice, makes my teeth/mouth feel very clean. Will be purchasing again and again.

We purchased a tube of Boka toothpaste in May. It was delivered quickly. Both of us as older and as enamel thins, stains had become a real problem for us. Within 2 days we saw a difference in the whiteness of our teeth. Continued use of Boka has only improved the looks of our teeth and there is no sensitivity in the teeth.

I like these, they do the job. My friends little cousin prevented cavities from being formed and her dentist was surprised. I started to use them, and my teeth and mouth feel fresh. The minty-ness isnt super strong but at least my mouth is clean and healthy.

Great taste doesn’t leave a film and even more happy to know in brushing without all the chemicals being out in my mouth!

I always used to feel nauseous in the morning after brushing my teeth. boka is much less strong of a taste and sensation than usual mint, which has helped me not have sensory issues. i use it alongside a flourite toothpaste for more cleanliness, but boka is my favorite. i dont think i would have been able to keep up with my teeth health as well during a rough past year without it. i frequently recommend it to my friends with adhd and/or autism that struggle with keeping up a brushing routine. basically: i love it. highly recommend, esp for neurodivergent adults/kids.

Update: 06/23/2023 I’m not that much of a fan of the Cinnamint. I think I was lead on to think it would taste like cinnamon. It tastes like cloves. Nothing is wrong with cloves, but it was not what I expected going by the flavor’s name. I use these toothpastes exclusively. Update: 05/15/2023. Ive been using mainly Boka toothpaste since Oct of last year. I went through a stage of lowering my sugar intake and everything started tasting too sweet. You know how when you eat a perfectly ripe apple and it will taste sweet. Then you eat an apple pie and its even sweeter. If you go back and take another bite of the apple, it wont taste as sweet anymore. Well, I got rid of all the sweets and the Coco Ginger and Lemon Lavender became way too sweet for me. For a short stint, I went back to Sensodyne because I had it at home already. Then I eventually switched back to the Boka and tried the Ela Mint. Before making the switch back to Boka, I tried the Elims toothpaste. It wasnt sweet. Unfortunately, it taste like mild soap and doesnt clean very well. Ela Mint will be a great introduction to anyone just starting hydroxyapatite toothpaste. It tastes pretty much like a regular mint flavor, and I think it cleans the best out of the 3 flavors Ive tried. My teeth just feel smoother. It was also nice to not have an overly sweet toothpaste. The Ela Mint toothpaste tube that shipped came in perfect unlike the other two flavor. It was not covered in scuff marks nor looked like it was trampled over by an elephant. Im not sure why this flavor is treated so different. Also, I havent had a cavity in years since I found out the wonders of floss. Im going to exclude the small one that started when I went through chemo at the start of the pandemic. So roughly the 6 months (Im minusing the Sensodyne time)of using this toothpaste, I havent had any cavities nor gingivitis at my cleanings. I cant say that my teeth look whiter though. I am a coffee drinker. I use to smoke spliffs and drink coffee and I felt my teeth look whiter back then. In fact, people would comment on how white my teeth looked. However, I use to oil pull and just brush with a slurry of baking soda. Ill update again, once I quit coffee to see if this type of toothpaste makes a difference. Older Review Ok, we all know what Boka toothpaste is suppose to do. It’s suppose to help remineralize the teeth with nano-hydroxyapatite, and then there are a whole heap of benefits that come with that. Since no one is going to be able to see the benefits right away, let’s talk about things I can evaluate in the here and now. First, let’s talk about the taste. It actually tastes like sweet coconut oil and ginger. It has a health food and green living vibe to its flavor. It’s not bad, but I was surprised it seemed kind of herbally. The flavor is mild and enjoyable. My mouth tasted nice after spitting it out. I don’t think it messes with the flavor of food right afterwards. Second, the paste turns to liquid in the mouth. There is no foam. I needed more than a pea size to feel like I adequately covered all of my teeth with it. Since I switched my toothbrush and floss, my teeth typically feel really clean after brushing. My teeth continued to feel clean after using this one. It’s cleaning capabilities are still the same as others. For those worried about the abrasive used in this toothpaste, ask for the RDA ranking of this paste. Even Sensodyne Pronamel uses hydrated silica and it’s rda rating is below 40 for all but the whitening ones. Lastly, this felt good in the mouth. There was no burning. My tongue also didn’t feel numb afterwards. Overall, it’s a decent toothpaste at face value. It is very crunchy-granola in its brand values, as well as its flavor. What it purports to do makes it seem great, but it’s too early to see those benefits. I’d just have to take their word for it. Edit: I recently purchased the Lemon Lavender flavor off of Target because they are out of stock on the Boka website. If you thought the tubes off of Amazon looked streaked up and dirty, the Target ones have them beat. Oh my, my tube looks beat up. This is a sweet and soft flavor that dissipates to the flavor of nothing. It reminds me of lemon short bread cookies with a hint of lavender, but very soft. Its definitely not as sweet and intense like Tanners Tasty Paste in Vanilla Bling, but it still tastes good. I can see children liking the Lemon Lavender flavor much more than the Coco Ginger.

Love their toothpaste but only get it through Amazon when it’s in stock. Ordering through Boka is a joke, will take a minimum of two weeks to receive or more if you check other reviews out there, for some it’s insanely worse. Boka’s customer service is also non existent so if you order through them you may be out of luck. If other manufacturers start introducing more toothpastes with hydroxyapatite that aren’t some form of mint (hate mint), I’d switch but Boka unfortunately has the only game in town with unique flavors. I want to try their coconut ginger and lemon lavender but it’s been well over a week since I ordered directly through Boka and they’ve not processed or shipped my order yet so maybe one day I’ll get to try them.

Received Jan 23, 2023 Lemon/lavender flavor I will update the longer I use this toothpaste, but I can tell you right away that the flavor is amazing! It is not overpowering at all. I use as directed. Brush 2 min and dont rinse. I find I like it better on a dry brush, which is also suggested. I was worried about leaving the toothpaste on, but it does not foam like other toothpaste so it did not bother me. Backstory- I had 2 teeth that needed a root canal and the dentist capped them instead. He said 99% of the time it takes care of the pain and root was not showing. My luck it made the pain even worse. 3200 MG ibuprofen a day, switched to sensodyne until this arrived, also brushed with peppermint essential oil from doterra and started antibiotics just in case. I highly recommend peppermint oil for anyone dealing with pain. Anyway, I ordered this toothpaste because I cannot afford a root canal and based on the reviews, I am hoping this will prevent it and strengthen my teeth.. I do not know what worked. The antibiotics or sensodyne, but my pain was pretty much gone before I received this. I cannot eat on that side yet and the pain has started again since switching to this toothpaste, but not enough to take pills. Whatever took the pain away took a week. I figure this toothpaste will need to build up over time. I will update my review later, but my teeth have never felt cleaner. Even after working all day and eating lunch. My teeth still feel clean all day! 5 stars for now.

This is one of the few toothpastes that I’ve found that is free of mints & tea tree oils. Those are known antidotes to many homeopathic remedies.

    Greater than one week

I love this toothpaste! It leaves my teeth feeling ‘after dentist clean’. I brushed my teeth four times the first day it arrived. My initial thoughts were that it looks, feels, and smells like lotion. The taste was mild, but very good, not overpowering. A little goes a long(er) way than one might initially think because it is so flat when you put it on your toothbrush. It doesn’t foam, which also contributes to the feeling of needing more. Edit: after using this toothpaste at least twice a day, I have noticed that, while my teeth do feel cleaner, they are not as white as they used to be and are a more sensitive. I will continue to use, but will likely use in addition to my regular toothpaste.
