I know the effects of the active ingredient happen over a longer period of time, but after having a few dental concerns, I felt like it was this, or pony up for more prescription flouride toothpaste from my dentist. I was told I brush too hard during my last dental visit, where had I developed sensitivity after getting a side buckle filling that persisted for almost a month until using this. Wierdly, almost a few days later, most sensitivity around my mouth just diminished... I feel a lot more confident chewing in different parts of my mouth now! Its amazing what we take for granted. The coco ginger flavor I started using is the perfect balance of flavor, not too strong and actually something I now actually look forward to. I brush with a small dab, spit, then cover my teeth with another small dab to let it soak in. After looking at multiple products here, I noticed this was the least abrasive, and offered the best value for the size of a product with nano sized particles. My teeth feel stronger, whiter, and will absolutely be buying again in the future. I may possibly even try a new flavor, even though this one is fantastic.

For about a year, Boka Ela Mint was always out of stock when it was time to re-up on toothpaste. I ended up getting the ginger flavor, even though I was so-so on it without a basis for comparison. Finally got the Ela Mint, and it is fine, but a little strong. I prefer the Ginger and will order that flavor again when this runs out. I was slightly worried about the erythritol, but that recent study has a shifty methodology. People with those health conditions had elevated levels, but the body produces it and there is no indication that participants consumed it from other sources. I still try to minimize swallowing—it is toothpaste, after all. Edit: The Ela Mint flavor does not contain erythritol. Ginger does, but I stand by my preference.

I had a few molars removed and the surrounding remaining teeth had receded gum line. That made the area of that tooth quite sensitive. After using this for about 2 weeks, I dont feel the pain there anymore. Also, this does wonders on re-strengthening your teeth when you use whitening strips. I highly recommend this and have bought my mom a tube because all her teeth are sensitive. Works way better than sensodyne.

One of the best alternatives to mint flavored toothpaste. Will buy it again. Highly recommended!

Update: 06/23/2023 I’m not that much of a fan of the Cinnamint. I think I was lead on to think it would taste like cinnamon. It tastes like cloves. Nothing is wrong with cloves, but it was not what I expected going by the flavor’s name. I use these toothpastes exclusively. Update: 05/15/2023. Ive been using mainly Boka toothpaste since Oct of last year. I went through a stage of lowering my sugar intake and everything started tasting too sweet. You know how when you eat a perfectly ripe apple and it will taste sweet. Then you eat an apple pie and its even sweeter. If you go back and take another bite of the apple, it wont taste as sweet anymore. Well, I got rid of all the sweets and the Coco Ginger and Lemon Lavender became way too sweet for me. For a short stint, I went back to Sensodyne because I had it at home already. Then I eventually switched back to the Boka and tried the Ela Mint. Before making the switch back to Boka, I tried the Elims toothpaste. It wasnt sweet. Unfortunately, it taste like mild soap and doesnt clean very well. Ela Mint will be a great introduction to anyone just starting hydroxyapatite toothpaste. It tastes pretty much like a regular mint flavor, and I think it cleans the best out of the 3 flavors Ive tried. My teeth just feel smoother. It was also nice to not have an overly sweet toothpaste. The Ela Mint toothpaste tube that shipped came in perfect unlike the other two flavor. It was not covered in scuff marks nor looked like it was trampled over by an elephant. Im not sure why this flavor is treated so different. Also, I havent had a cavity in years since I found out the wonders of floss. Im going to exclude the small one that started when I went through chemo at the start of the pandemic. So roughly the 6 months (Im minusing the Sensodyne time)of using this toothpaste, I havent had any cavities nor gingivitis at my cleanings. I cant say that my teeth look whiter though. I am a coffee drinker. I use to smoke spliffs and drink coffee and I felt my teeth look whiter back then. In fact, people would comment on how white my teeth looked. However, I use to oil pull and just brush with a slurry of baking soda. Ill update again, once I quit coffee to see if this type of toothpaste makes a difference. Older Review Ok, we all know what Boka toothpaste is suppose to do. It’s suppose to help remineralize the teeth with nano-hydroxyapatite, and then there are a whole heap of benefits that come with that. Since no one is going to be able to see the benefits right away, let’s talk about things I can evaluate in the here and now. First, let’s talk about the taste. It actually tastes like sweet coconut oil and ginger. It has a health food and green living vibe to its flavor. It’s not bad, but I was surprised it seemed kind of herbally. The flavor is mild and enjoyable. My mouth tasted nice after spitting it out. I don’t think it messes with the flavor of food right afterwards. Second, the paste turns to liquid in the mouth. There is no foam. I needed more than a pea size to feel like I adequately covered all of my teeth with it. Since I switched my toothbrush and floss, my teeth typically feel really clean after brushing. My teeth continued to feel clean after using this one. It’s cleaning capabilities are still the same as others. For those worried about the abrasive used in this toothpaste, ask for the RDA ranking of this paste. Even Sensodyne Pronamel uses hydrated silica and it’s rda rating is below 40 for all but the whitening ones. Lastly, this felt good in the mouth. There was no burning. My tongue also didn’t feel numb afterwards. Overall, it’s a decent toothpaste at face value. It is very crunchy-granola in its brand values, as well as its flavor. What it purports to do makes it seem great, but it’s too early to see those benefits. I’d just have to take their word for it. Edit: I recently purchased the Lemon Lavender flavor off of Target because they are out of stock on the Boka website. If you thought the tubes off of Amazon looked streaked up and dirty, the Target ones have them beat. Oh my, my tube looks beat up. This is a sweet and soft flavor that dissipates to the flavor of nothing. It reminds me of lemon short bread cookies with a hint of lavender, but very soft. Its definitely not as sweet and intense like Tanners Tasty Paste in Vanilla Bling, but it still tastes good. I can see children liking the Lemon Lavender flavor much more than the Coco Ginger.

This is an amazing toothpaste for it not having fluoride. I’ve found that a lot of non fluoride toothpastes either taste weird, don’t foam, don’t clean well at all! This is the first one where it feels like a “regular” toothpaste. The mint flavor is very nice, makes my teeth/mouth feel very clean. Will be purchasing again and again.

Have been using Boca for awhile but this is the first time to review it. What I like about Boca first is that its fluoride free. Many dont know that this is considered a chemical, something I try to avoid. Cant speak for the remineralizing but perhaps it protects my teeth more than realized. It is pleasant tasting leaving my teeth and mouth feeling fresh and clean. Use it with an electric toothbrush that only requires a dab and tube lasts much longer than most toothpastes Ive used in the past so price wise its worth it. It also sits upright on the counter in a solid tube making it convenient and without much of a mess, and you dont have to squeeze and fold the tube to get more toothpaste out of it. Works well for me.

No need to choose between toxins and gum health or getting cavities. This gem leaves your teeth with a clean feel without the chemicals. We’ve been using this for several years now and not had a single cavity. My husband has also seen improvement in gum health since switching.

I have texture sensitivities so when I first tried this I was nervous about the change in texture but I’ve grown to prefer this brand over the brand name toothpastes I used to use. Works very well and is very sensory friendly in my opinion if that’s important to you.
