This is the first laptop I ever owned and after two years of using it, I have to say that its ok. There is nothing really to write home about in terms of upsides. The display quality is good (though looking at it from an angle is not a fun experience), and the sound quality is as good. Though its not very powerful, which is to be expected for a laptop of this price, as a result, some games are an absolute chore to play. What doesnt help is the fact that there are very few things to upgrade about it, like RAM or the SSD. Its perfect if you only intend on using it for work or light gaming; but for anything else, just save for a decent desktop. Some things that I personally dislike about it are the location of the charger port and headphone jack; both of which are located on the right side of the laptop which can cause issues if your outlet or headphones have a cord on the left side. (Also, if you buy this, make sure to buy an external hard drive as well. 128 Gigs of storage will be eaten up VERY quickly.)

A great laptop for basic web browsing, streaming videos and TV shows, and emailing. Pretty good battery life. Definitely not great for gaming unless you wanted to play solitaire, or any other basic game but a great daily laptop.

Except the screen, it is a good computer based on its price.

I needed a new laptop because Microsoft discontinued support for window 7. My Dell was a dinosaur. I got it used and had it almost 6 years. this one starts up instantly. wow. people complain these inexpensive laptops are slow. compared to the old one...heck, no! I have no complaints but then again, my needs are few and simple. also, I did research and this laptop made the top ten for the price. no regrets.

Ordered 2 of these for my parents for Christmas. These are not meant for gaming (obviously) but I did manage to stream on Netflix and scroll Facebook and have Spotify going all at once, just as a performance test and these things are awesome for that. Sound quality isn’t terrific since the speakers are on the bottom side but it gets the job done. It’s affordable, reliable and ASUS is a solid brand too. Would recommend this to anyone who needs a laptop for school or work related stuff.

Besides it being advertised with a backlit keyboard its great computer everything checks out otherwise and have had no problems.. Went though 3 replacements just to be sent the same wrong color and no backlit keyboard all 3 times even though I actually like the grey color better than the all black.. Amazon compensated me for the difference so decided to just settle since I truly needed it for work and couldnt wait any longer.. Would advise buying directly from a store in person but sometimes you dont have many options and this is by far not the worst route.. No issues with the screen as so many reviews mention and had pretty decent FOV.. Other than the mishap several times this computer would of got a 5 star review which I dont think it was asus fault.. Definitely be weary which company you buy from because alot are remanufactured or have the wrong hardware that do not match the specs fortunately this was did.. Arrived ahead of schedule each time and not in only the manufacturers packing.. Great buy as long as you dont need a backlit keyboard which I truly dont but is a great feature to have especially when for the same money many other companies offer touchscreen and backlit.. Overall not super upset having to settle because the laptop is performing better than expected..

Whether at work or play, ASUS VivoBook 15 is the compact laptop that immerses you in whatever you set out to do. Its new frameless four-sided NanoEdge display boasts an ultraslim 5.7mm bezel, giving an amazing 88% screen-to-body ratio for supremely immersive visuals. The ErgoLift hinge design also tilts the keyboard up for more comfortable typing. VivoBook 15 is powered by an Intel core i3 processor to help you get things done with the least amount of fuss. The actual transfer speed of USB 3.0, 3.1 (Gen 1 and 2), and/or Type-C will vary depending on many factors including the processing speed of the host device, file attributes and other factors related to system configuration and your operating environment.
