> 24 hourIve brought Asus laptops since 2010, and have been happy with all of them. Until this one. This $650 vivobook is just as slow as the 3.5 year old Asus laptop that I was replacing (which was $550 when I brought it). I returned the vivobook 3 days after buying it. Do yourself a favor: get an amd 4000 series APU or higher. And maybe go for 16 GB of RAM instead of 8. Dont waste your money for this laptop, its performance is shockingly slow. I wonder if its partially because out of 8 gb of RAM, only 6 is usable. I dont know, all I know is that this laptop is an outlier on terms of the amazing laptops that Asus usually made in the past.

> 24 hourScreen and sound are fantastic, but sadly after 14 weeks motherboard had to be replaced. Now I have to send to ASUS to be repaired. This is crazy. No computer for 1 to 2 months. Stay away from ASUS.

> 24 hourI have been using this laptop daily for both work and streaming media for about a year. I bought it because the specs were pretty good and it was what I needed. If you are looking for a gaming computer for games like rocket league or a battle royale, this is not the computer for you. My 2 biggest gripes are the display and the sound. The display has a very dim backlight. It doesnt matter how good a picture is if it isnt well lit. It is annoyingly noticeable every time I use this computer. The sound is also very unimpressive. Its not very loud, and I am keeping in mind it is a laptop. It sounds very tinny at times.

> 24 hourI bought this laptop (Ryzen 7) for watching streams and gaming. I have a desktop, but I wanted something I could bring with me for when I had to dog sit or not be at my desk. Since I knew I would be gaming, I opted for the slightly beefier Ryzen 7 over the Ryzen 5. It will only net you around 7 extra fps on average, so the jump isn’t all that necessary.

> 24 hourI havent had time to do much more than the initial setup, but so far Im very pleased. Not being a computer whiz, I can only say everything appears to work as described. The picture is vibrant. The keyboard is comfortable. Speed is very good. I am hoping this ASUS will be as good as my previous ASUS. So far I am pleased.
