Finding the right monitor was a CHORE. Im looking to begin game development, but finances and computer both do not allow for a great dual monitor set up option. I researched and researched endlessly, trying to find a monitor that would accommodate both gaming and artwork. I had to lean more heavily into the gaming side of things because I do have a Huion tablet that I use for art and I figured that would help determine true color pretty fairly. The pros: The screen is bright and clear, with no dropped pixels. Its 100% adjustable in my opinion and the ability to changes heights and adjust angles in a large spectrum means no matter what my back is doing or how I am leaning, I can find an appropriate positioning for the monitor to comfortably accommodate me-- a blessing with a back injury. Im not a competitive gamer and dont play FPS games other than the Borderlands series and Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. These games as well as my simpler 2D games run very smoothly with no tearing or ghosting that is noticeable to me-- Im no expert though. Ive also got a cat who likes to bat at sprites and moving objects on my screen. Now, she is very small and has very soft paws, but shes put some weight behind her pawing without doing damage to the screen. Obviously I try to mitigate this behavior, but it speaks to sturdiness that no scratches or anything are being left. cons: I really found few cons, but Im a simple person. The speakers arent ideal, but I dont get a monitor for speakers. The biggest issue is when I adjust my visual settings to a state where they initially look GREAT but then I put my art on it. From there I realize the white balance is WAY off from what Id expect. Scanned art pieces that were originally showing up perfectly become washed out. All that means as an artist is paying attention to my settings, or keeping a paper copy of traditional art next to the screen so that I can adjust colors to match. All in all I couldnt be happier with this monitor. Its great for the price range and does everything I need it to.

I bought this monitor for both work (coding) and gaming. Ill start by saying that the monitor delivers what it claims to, however, I was disappointed by the overall quality. Pros: - Image and Colors look good (with some tinkering) - It does deliver the features it claims to: 144+Hz, G-Sync, EyeCare etc. - Comes with decent length DP/HDMI cables - There are quite a few preset modes/options in the monitors menu to tinker with and find what suits you Cons: - Build quality feels lackluster - The connections felt a bit misplaced and I had trouble using the DP port. - On my monitor There are 2 (relatively) small dots that seem to have been missed by the coating material, They are much brighter and noticeable on white background. This was not a deal breaker but still quite annoying. - Speakers: Really BAD. I realize build in speakers is not really a requirement for most people. Personally, Im on the computer for many hours a day, and most is for work, so I prefer it over headphones most of the times. I did not expect great sound quality but the sounds come out kind of metallic (Not sure how to describe it) And it actually really hurts my ears and gives me a headache. So... yeah... better assume theyre not there :) - Despite the various modes/options I mentioned above, Some just make the colors look weird and others are not clear about their purpose. The main thing is that most of them cannot be changed when youre in game, so you have to kinda set the options and kinda review the effects from your head until you find what suits you. To conclude, I am somewhat disappointed about the overall quality but I do think that for its price you definitely get your moneys worth. Hope you find this helpful and GAME ON!

Buying a gaming monitor in 2023. I would say 1440p 144hz is the best setup right now. Even though I have a RTX 3080 TI. I prefer High Performance, and Quality when it comes to monitors and games in general. I just got this monitor, and played a few games on it. and was astonished on how smooth this monitor performs. Would definitely recommend to people in the same boat.

I had an Acer 32 curved gaming monitor before this one. This flat panel is 32 inches. So Im not sure how I feel about it yet. The ELMB mode is pretty cool (less motion blur). I would give it an 8/10!

Everytime I load a game that requires a 100% screen width of the primary monitor it refreshes the display settings and freezes up for a few seconds. It is actually really annoying because you cant access another browser, volume, or app without waiting for that refresh to chill. Im on the HD port and have the most up to date drivers. My friend is another high tech level user with the same experience. Still a really cool monitor its just got a bit of an annoying personality as you would lol.

Moving from 1080p gaming to 1440p. Bought the VG27AQ for my PS5. This monitor has a built in downscaler and will trick your PS5 to output 2160p. The built-in downscaler will take the 2160p image and supersample it to fit the 1440p display. So it’s not native 4K. Some might not like this, but for me, coming from 1080p, this monitor is blowing my mind. I can immediately see the difference. Colors look so vibrant with HDR on and I’m seeing details I’ve never noticed before. Unfortunately, PS5 does not support 1440p @120hz yet. So your PS5 video settings will be locked to 2160p @60hz. With that being said, I feel since this monitor is capable of even higher refresh rates, I’m still seeing a benefit. The monitor even allows me to enable GSYNC in the monitor settings and I feel like it makes even more of a difference. I booted up Horizon Zero Dawn and since it’s only 30fps, I’m noticing a lot less motion blur/ghosting. Sony said they would add an update to support 1440p, if the demand is there. So, I’m gambling and hoping that Sony adds the support because I’m not about to buy an HDMI 2.1 Monitor for $1,300.00 to get 4K @120hz. 1440p @120hz is a nice middle step and I’m glad I made the plunge for the VG27AQ. One thing to note, the VG27AQ is an IPS monitor and I do notice IPS bleed on the corners. It’s not bad, especially if you have an ambient light on. Just sucks that it’s a common problem with the IPS technology and we have to just deal with it.

Love these monitors for gamming and for work they are large enough to split screen and essentially turn two monitors into four. Super productive!!

I have five monitors on two computers in my office. The Asus VG27AQ1A is the only one with the color problem. Spent quite a while fiddling with the settings. No luck. Search on Google indicates that this is a common problem with this model. Just got an LG monitor same size and resolution that was $50 less, no problems whatsoever. My rating: meh. Better than punched cards. Worse than any other monitor that I have or have had over the past few decades.

Honestly i have no complaints about this other than the speakers (for me) are just terrible. The quality as well as volume (even at 100%) is low If youre gonna use a headset or a different speaker then youre all good Honestly i wish i could rate 4.5 instead of 4 since the speakers are my only complaint

Designed for intense fast-paced games. The Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ is a 27” WQHD gaming IPS display with 1ms (MPRT) response time and blazing 165Hz refresh rate to give you super-smooth game play. The VG27AQ features G-SYNC compatibility and ELMB Sync technology to eliminate screen tearing and ghosting.
