Since Amazon lumps multiple models together on one review list, and search results eliminate the section which identifies which model is being reviewed: This is for the ASUS VG248QE 24 Full HD 1920x1080 144Hz 1ms HDMI Gaming Monitor. It also has Display Port (DP) and DVI-D Dual Link (although I thought it is DVI-I Dual Link, but I dont want to unhook the cable to verify, so Ill go with the listing details). Last purchased Feb 2, 2014, Style: 24 FHD 1ms 144Hz Height Adjustable | Pattern Name: Gaming Monitor After owning this monitor for nearly NINE YEARS, I am still very pleased by it. Overall, there is a lot to like, and not much to dislike about this monitor. I primarily use it for gaming, working, and other typical computer use. The image is crisp, the colors are vivid, the blacks are deep, and can be made even deeper using ASCR, there is barely any backlight bleeding, ZERO dead pixels (no green, black, or bright pixels - nothing at all wrong with the image), fast 1ms response time, high 144hz refresh rate - there really is very much to like. (Other than something I did - my own fault - to slightly damage the surface with a sharp object one time about 7 years ago) the monitor is visually and cosmetically flawless. I only have two very small complaints after almost a decade of constant use: 1. The frame on the top is just barely starting to lift off the top in a short portion of the middle, and occasionally allows a bit of the backlight to shine through - but even this issue, I think, is going away after I have worked on pushing the frame back in place and it seems to no longer have the issue anymore. It might also have to do with temperature differences due to changing seasons resulting in slight expanding or contracting of the material. Really not a big deal, and almost not worth mentioning, but I want to give an honest, fair, and complete review. 2. The height adjustment has recently (within the last year or so - i.e. after about 8 years of use) started to lose its ability to hold the monitor at its position. However, this comes with three pertinent caveats: - First, my wife and daughter very often use my computer when I am away and move the monitor down, and then I have to move it back up when I get back, so it experiences a lot of wear and tear. - Second, I have my very heavy Logitech gaming headset conveniently hanging on the back of the monitor (because it has such a perfectly shaped section which, although probably not designed for this, perfectly holds my headset in place) which significantly adds to the overall weight of the monitor hanging on the height-adjustment mechanism. - Third, even with the problem existing, by moving the monitor to the desired position and holding it in place for a few moments, it will typically hold its position, even with the heavy headset hanging on the back. So, thats it. No other cons. I havent read many of the other reviews, but I did see something about color issues: this is fairly easily addressable via monitor settings, and if needed, Nvidia Control Center settings (or the equivalent AMD settings). Also, if you have any issues with Ghosting, I suggest adjusting your Trace Free setting to either 60 or 80. I advise not using 100, as that seems to overcorrect the issue and introduce inverse ghosting, if I recall correctly from previous testing. Setting it too low (i.e. 40 or below) doesnt seem to correct it enough, but it could work for some people. The only reason I am shopping around for another monitor at this point is because my wifes monitor (different brand/model) died and so I am giving her this monitor. Otherwise, I would plan to just keep using this monitor for years to come. I highly recommend buying this monitor.

I have had this monitor for just about 2 weeks now, I gotta say, when you go 144hz, you will not wanna go back to anything else. I was on the fence with the purchase of this monitor, as I have read both good and bad things about. I did not get it with any dead pixels, nor do I have any to date, nor have I seen any sign of bleeding. I spent a good few months looking for a good gaming monitor, and I looked at well over a 100, I kept coming back to this one. I will be buying another one. I have been playing FO4 in ultra mode (All settings in ultra), Witcher 3 in ultra, doom in ultra, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in ultra, and have had no blurring or screen tears of any kinds. I would suggest this monitor to anyone, not quit sure, and tired of that endless searching for a good gaming monitor. The monitor has ports for 1x HDMI, 1x Dual-link DVI-D and, 1x DisplayPort. My Asus monitor came with 1x Dual-link DVI-D cable, power cord, and driver disk. I would 100% recommend this Gaming Monitor to family, friend, worst enemy, and anyone looking for a good gaming monitor at a great price. P.S. 144hz only runs on Dual-link DVI-D and DisplayPort. Again, my monitor came with 1x Dual-link DVI-D cable, and you can pick up a gold plated DisplayPort cable on Amazon, for less than $12 USD. P.S.S. To get the Nvidia Vision 2 Kit to work proper with all 3D movies, make sure you are running the Dual-link DVI-D cable. I have had problems running this with 3D movies with the Displayport cable, with my CyberLink DvD software and Nvidia Vision kit.

Up Date! Three Monitor system. Gaming imagery is beyond belief! Trine 3D video game on all three is mind blowing and Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Siege is life like. I first tried the ICC Profile in Color Management to fix the color imbalance with white being lighter or darker on monitors but that didnt work. I even tried the Lightboost Hack but the resolution of 5760 by 1080 thats needed to combined all three monitors is not compatible with the strobelight hack. All LCD monitors are going to have some kind of color imbalance within our peripheral vision but IPS monitors are not. So, Ive no longer notice the white imbalance and while watching movies I try to sit directly in front of the middle monitor to try and stop peripheral vision imbalance. There are no color imbalance in 3D or gaming and sometimes even the movies Ive watched I was using Cyberlink player to watch video files stretched out to all three monitors, but Cyberlink took ripped files and made them look like cam copies, so I used DivX Player that has the option to customize video resolution into 5760 by 1080 and it plays video files stretched out on all three monitors beautifully. Ive also got 3D showing through all three monitors using Deep Space 3D Screensaver resolution of 5760 by 1080 full screen. Cyberlink is my 3D player but it will not stretch to all monitors -- a 3D player for PC will have to be invented that can stretch videos to all monitors in full screen mode

5 Star product, a must have for serious or competitive gamers! First off I have done a lot of research in trying to find the perfect gaming monitor/TV’s and gaming monitors are the way to go, make sure to get a gaming monitor not just a regular monitor, there is a difference. (I currently have Xbox 360 and also Xbox one) I have read ton of reviews and by far the people who had bad reviews on this monitor are wrong. The issues I have read about them having problems with their monitor I have had none and my friend as well has had no issues (I believe they have had defective product which they can return). Asus also has a 3 year warranty on this bad boy! Now people have said BenQ is the big boy on the block and I believe they are wrong. I have played on BenQ monitors and they really don’t compare to the value and design of Asus. Now I was also worried about the size of this monitor… YOU DON’T NEED TO BE. I have had 27, 29inch monitors and what this monitor lacks in size makes up in performance. Pros /Features– HDMI 1080P 80,000,000-1 Contrast ratio 144hz refresh rate. 1ms input lag which makes a huge difference. If you play a lot of FPS games, input lag is very important. This monitor comes with speakers which are a plus, they are a little weak for my taking, and I use turtle beach headsets when I game. GAME MODE- This monitor has a pretty cool feature called game mode where you can have crosshairs on the center of your screen, this is really good for Gear of War when you need to blind fire. Also has a game timer where you can use it for COD game types like search and destroy when you need to use a timer for a spawn. There is so much to list so little room to write. I don’t want to make this review a novel. OVERALL I love this monitor. It is one of the best on the market and I hope this review helped you out.

Bought 2 of these monitors (several months apart) for a new computer build. Good quality, and the screens offer up a lot of detail in games. The only downside I can really say about them, is that it is very hard to get them to match up even after calibrating. Comparing them side to side after calibration, there seems to be slight color issues, and one screen seems slightly warmer, while the other slightly cooler- this is normal even with 2 of the same monitors due to manufacturing differences. Calibrating any monitor is going to be necessary, and these are no different. Right out of the box, the monitors are good almost as is, and very little calibration is needed for anyone just wanting to use it for general computer work. For gaming however, take the time to learn how to properly calibrate the monitors for the best gaming experience. If you currently have a smaller desk, these monitors might take up a lot of desk space with their default stands, and upgrading to a better stand might be the solution. I used the monitors for over a year with their included stands, before finally purchasing a third-party VIVO dual monitor stacking stand (look for my review on it). Overall the default stands are nice, sturdy, and allow for good adjustment, but for someone like me who needs dual monitors, consider upgrading the stand later on to fit your needs.

This is the best monitor I have ever owned , My previous monitor was only 60 HZ with 1ms responce time ,My computer I put together is above average running a 8 core processor 32 GB memory EVGA motherboard ,EVGA 2070 gaming GPU and 2-TB solid state sansung , I used a high Quality display cable to connect from monitor to GPU and I have logged about 12 hours of game play with this monitor , playing Assassin Creed valhalla and its absolutly the best I have ever had , great colors very smooth and clear , I never knew how much vegatation is in this game till now , One of the things I used to struggle with are the stupid tattos you have to chase , Well not any more I captured like three of them in about ten minutes , they are a lot easier to see and follow now , Combat and everything else is much better , I read a lot of negative reviews about the color , But this monitor has great color for my setup , I have no complaints , early mornings /high noon /afternoons and night all are very real , Cloud cover /sunshine/ rain /fog/wind/ fire /smoke/sunrise/sunset all great on my build , I may just be lucky , But I am happy with this monitor ! Have a nice day and good luck !

The first time I discovered this product is when I was looking for monitors on amazon. I bought this monitor for the purpose to complete my computer setup. the specs of the monitor are it being 24 inches wide, 1920x1080p, and 144Hz. Strengths about this monitor are that it is 1080p, it has a refresh rate of 144hz, it has a 1ms response time, and it also has a cross hair in the middle of the screen for fps games. One thing that i love about this monitor is that is has a spot to hand your headphones comfortably behind the monitor and has cable organizers running down the back of the monitor. Weaknesses that I have to point out about the monitor is that it doesnt have the best eye support technology for long game sessions so it will strain your eyes over a period of time. Another weakness about this monitor is that it doesnt have the best speakers as they can muffle sometimes depending on what is playing through them. One more weakness about this monitor is that the panel used for the monitor isnt the best when faced in direct sunlight as it is hard to see the screen because of the glare. My final thought about this monitor is that it is a good product and I am satisfied with my purchase.

Fantastic resultion and image quality. It integrates seamlessly with NVIDIAs 3d Vision platform and impresses the hell out of me. When you do set up the monitor, make sure that it is recognized as an ASUS VG248QE and not the actual LCD panels name. If that shows up, download the drivers from ASUSs website to ensure that the monitor is recognized. Two problems arose during operation though. First is the baddie; The power button sometimes refuses to turn on the monitor. It stays black. Im forced to power cycle the monitor via power cable, then the power button lights up and responds. This is an erratic issue and perhaps a design glitch. That entitled one star off with justification and thats being nice about it. The second is the adjustable height. At any time, do not have anything under the monitor or on the stand itself. If the monitor is presses down at the top, it will come down on top of anything that is on the stand and may damage either the item or the monitor itself! I put a big label on my stand that says KEEP THINGS OFF ME to remind me and anyone else not to wind up getting their stuff crunched. I nearly lost a good set of $300 computer reading glasses (titanium frame, thankyouverymuch) that way. It integrates in with an older Samsung quite well. Ive had to run the MS color calibration wizard a few times to get things right and I can barely tell the difference between the two. I run a 3D Matrix screen saver and at night it is very engrossing and addictive. If ASUS does takes note of the glitch with the power button, they can feel free to contact me directly so we can discuss and perhaps diagnose this headache.

TUF Gaming VG248Q1B is a 24-inch, Full HD (1920x1080) gaming monitor with an overclocking 165Hz refresh rate designed for professional gamers and for those seeking immersive gameplay. It features FreeSync™ Premium technology for extremely fluid gameplay without tearing and stuttering.
