I have spectrum gig down, running cat 8 from the modem to the router. No problems since setting this bad boy up. VPN features are a dream.

I bought this to replace an awful Netgear router. Easy to set up, and it works well. The interface takes some getting used to, but Im sure that is standard.

Great router, I have nothing to bad to say about it. I have been trying to get this router for a decent price for a while. I finally was able to buy it, but something sketchy is happening here. I pretty sure I purchased this brand new. But somehow i bought this used. I received it thinking it was sealed by the manufacturer, but it was just scotched taped up. And there was a sticker on it with Amazon marketplace. Granted it looks new and everything, but i am not comfortable, that amazon was misleading me in buying a new router and end up getting a Used one. I would give this a 5 star, but really sketch up switching it up. I never saw on the site it was used when i decided to buy it. SO SKETCHY.

I had to move to working from home and needed a better router to support my company laptop and all the other devices in the house. It was easy to set up and all our devices found it except my work laptop. Turns out this router is next gen and my company would not allow me to download the necessary driver. So I hard wired my laptop into the router which was an easy fix. My personal laptop works fine with it wireless and also have a wireless printer. Hopefully my company infrastructure will get caught up.

Having owned Asus routers for many years, and current owner of GT-AX11000 that is working perfectly. I wanted to add this to expand my network. Unfortunately, its lacking to be able to bring gigabit speeds and barely makes it to 400Mbps and at times dropping to under 50Mbps. This was after doing a firmware update to the most recent build. Additionally, the router would randomly reboot, even happening after a firmware update. Sadly It was returned.

10/17/22: Updated to 5 stars. Original firmware this router came with was 3.0.0.4.386.41700 which was frustrating dropping the internet connection daily (DHCP WAN issue). Upgraded to firmware 3.0.0.4.388.20518 and its been stable so far! Will post updates as I have more time to test it thoroughly. The addition of VPN fusion support is a win too! I did not use the web interface or app to update the firmware automatically. Downloaded the firmware from Asus website. Reset the router to factory defaults. Plugged in a PC via ethernet cable then updated firmware. Reset the router to factory defaults again, disabled Smart Connect/band steering, then manually configured the router to account for older devices on my network (up to MCS 9 256 QAM for 2.4 Ghz and left 5 Ghz on Nitro/1024 QAM). Im playing things a bit safe with those settings but your mileage may vary depending on the devices on your network.

Drops wifi the same way that the ac88u did. Asus support just says that it is normal to have the wifi constantly dropping. Would not recommend anything by asus until they fix their support and quality issues.

Setup is really easy, about few steps, less than 5 mins, work with Fios modem.

Future proofs my system. Great router!

Have had horrible experience with uptime for this router. WiFi is extremely unstable. Especially 5GHz. I really wanted to love this router, but it’s been only trouble.
