> 3 dayBought to be my 3rd monitor. 2 weeks after I got it, a line of pixels broke on the right side. A few weeks later there was another line. A few days later and they were bigger. They held at that point for a couple months until the other day the entire screen was broken pixels.

> 3 daySo far Ive been very pleased with this monitor. Its picture settings are very customizable without too much effort. I dont really game much but for how i use it for photos and video its perfect. Im a fan of Asus products and there quality and this monitor doesnt disappoint.

> 3 dayOverall I really like the monitor but I just cannot give it 5 stars. I dont even care if an HDMI cable is the standard cable that comes with monitors. If I order a monitor that specifies that it has Display Port capability, I would like to receive a Display port cable in the box. I dont have a second HDMI port on my graphics card. That is why I ordered this monitor, so I could use the Display ports to connect it. I cant even use my monitor out of the box because it comes with an HDMI cable, but no DP cable. I think that is a simple thing they could have done to improve the customer experience here. Its a good piece of hardware otherwise.

> 3 dayNot a gamer but a beautiful picture. Ive had mine for a few months with no issues. Picture quality is great in every way. Bright whites and very dark blacks. I have 2 side by side and the picture quality is exactly the same on both. I have a background of a closeup moon pic across the 2 that is mostly very dark with bright stars in the distance and small brightly lit areas on the surface and it looks great. Colors are also brilliant and sharp. I read reviews about week stands for these monitors but I feel they are average. If you shake the desk they are on, sure they will shake but if you have a firm desk, no worries. I loveem.

Greater than one weekThis is the smallest 27 monitor Ive ever had, saving space all over the table, but at the same time very powerful; the brightness is comfortable and neat, I recommend it for long office work...

Greater than one weekIm returning to the office and Im bringing my existing dual monitors (also asus vl279 but not HE I guess) to the office. Monitors look fine and not too pricy. I thought I ordered the same model I had before but I guess not. Issue 1. They do not work with my docking station. I guess my docking stations second hdmi out only outputs at 30hz and maybe this monitor doesnt support it. I switched to 30hz interleaved and it works but looks terrible. Ive ordered a different docking station to see if that fixes the issue. I guess you could call this an issue with the docking station which does work with the asus vl279 non HE monitors (which must support 30hz). Second issue is they say its wall mountable. I guess. You have to pop off the bottom of the back and unscrew the base stand to expose the wall mount plate. But the mounting bracket is at the bottom of the monitor and not in the center so you better have something that doesnt swivel. I sort of had to prop one side against the wall and the second monitor against the first one. God forbid i ever sneeze. Most stands are designed to swivel a bit and its fine if they are attached more to the monitors center of gravity. One false move on these and it will swing around and get destroyed. Trying hard to not have to rma. Make sure your stand doesnt swivel and if you have a docking station it supports 60hz.

Greater than one weekIt was ok for the price. It’s doing its job, and the blue light control does help with eye strain headaches. My main complaint is that out of the two monitors I purchased, the bottom right corner of one screen began flickering immediately and this has now spread to about one third of the bottom right hand side of the screen. I do not use this gaming, I use this for work purposes, and it’s ok for that purpose. It does have a wide range of connectivity and that is great. Not sure if I would recommend it, though. Kinda sucks that a screen that says it’s flicker-free flickered with lines almost immediately.
