used on an Asus U36SD-A1, for anyone not in the know, its was the worlds first sub inch (19mm thick!) notebook with a standard voltage 2nd generation Intel CPU.. so in laymans terms this thing was hot! (Spiking 51C Idle and 88C under load) and the dedicated GPU didnt help ( 47C idle and 79C under load). Since throwing my warranty to the wind and applying this thermal grease Idle has dropped CPU temp by an average of almost 10 C, and GPU by an average of about 3C, Under load (Skyrim) CPU temp has dropped around 10C !! (Temperature spikes lower than the normal temperature had been!) and GPU saw about a 5C drop! This is also in an environment that he ambient temperature went up by 5F !

I up graded my CPU and my son told me to clean my aftermarket CPU cooler, and use this stuff to fill in small imperfections between the gaps between the cooler and CPU top surface. He also tells me this is supposed to be the best thermal compound that they make. I guess Ill have to take his word for it because it just looks like gray goop to me. what ever you do dont get to much on the CPU surface due to the fact that it is supposed to be electrically conductive and will short out your mother board if it gets in the wrong places, read the instructions carefully and follow exactly what they say. From what I read all of these compounds are like this so be neat and clean about your install.

I use it with my airbrush makeup. Its awesome!
