Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

Arctic Silver 5 is fantastic thermal compound for the price. And it IS non-conductive (although capacitive), so you dont need to worry too much. I have had to repaste a few times, and still have plenty to use.

Its smaller then it looks about an inch long pencil thin but can be used up to 4 big processors coverage, used to fix ps3 on two processors and my ps3 worked like a charm. Worth the buy

I used this to replace the thermal compound on my Xbox, and it worked perfectly. You do need to know how to apply thermal compound and how to take an Xbox apart, but with some experience you can fix just about any red ring of death.

High quality used it on a hei distributor module. This is true heat sink paste not cheap silicone based crap

Works as described. If you do any research on how youre supposed to apply it, youll see that a lot of people do it a lot of different ways. I always choose the pea method, which is a drop the size of a pea in the center of the CPU. The line method is also popular, but WHATEVER YOU DO, PLEASE DONT GLOB IT ON THERE OR SPREAD IT WITH A CREDIT CARD!!!!! Also, be sure to clean the old paste off the CPU and heat sink with something like denatured alcohol and a LINT-FREE cloth. Arctic Silver actually sells a kit to do this. Theres also no way youre going to use even half of this stuff so if you want to keep it around, keep it in the fridge.

Wow. Before using this paste I was running a stress test with no paste and the CPU (AMD Vishera) was up to 167 degrees F. After applying a thin layer of this paste, the CPU hangs out at about 115 degrees F during the same test. Same ambient temp.
