Simply put...It works and works well. Never had an issue with Arctic silver 5.

Works great! However, you dont get much in the syringe for the price. I bought two of these and one of them had an air bubble in it which probably dropped its volume to two-thirds.

The most important thing to consider when buying thermal heatsink paste is how fresh it is. The paste was nice and fresh with no ingredient seperation. I dont know who does this companys packaging, but this tube is about the circumference of a pencil, about 2.5 inches long and weighs about 5 grams...but it arrived in a box that was 10in wide X 12in long X 6in deep!

I used this thermal paste on my laptop cpu and gpu and my temps have dropped by 20+ Celsius. What more can I ask for than a cool running computer. I still have plenty left over for future maintenance and will purchase again when I run out.

I have no experience building computers other than installing a warranty replacement motherboard on a work PC and having to transfer CPU and everything over to it. I used this thermal paste when upgrading my old i5 650 to i7 870 with a pea size blob for stock cooler from the i5. The CPU fan raced first boot after that, but it eventually settled down and has been quiet since then, even doing aggressive graphic benchmarks. So maybe it just initially has to flow and take a set, and then everything is fine. So this helped me with the CPU upgrade to give my old PC renewed life for increased graphics settings in games.
