It is very nice and comfortable to use, however it weighs almost the same as the iPad. It is not a complaint, just a comment that I found surprising. I really like the keyboard.

Main advantage of this keyboard+mouse is its easy to carry around and brings in a whole new dimension of usage for my iPad Pro which I have been mostly using only for reading books and scribbling with apple pencil. Trackpad integration is pretty much flawless and its reduced size didnt really bother me much. Feel I can finally untap the processor power of my 2018 iPad Pro with this case ! Boot up time is faster, apps open lot faster and typing experience pretty good that Im not missing my MBP except for heavy weight usage like FinalCut pro, Logic pro, OBS etc that needs more ports and monitors. Most of mac keyboard shortcuts work fine here. Face-id authentication instead of MBPs touch-id is cool too. Mapped caps-lock to esc key so I dont miss it. Overall, boosts productivity of a power user.

I bought the pen, and keyboard with the iPad, Great product. But does not provide for a mechanism for securing the pen, except the weak magnetisn. Another like product does capture and secure the pen if you have one. I will replace it with that one.

I purchased a iPad Pro 11 2nd Add a year ago. The magic keyboard was not available at the time so I got the Smart Folio and used it for a year. It works very well but my main issue with it is the lack of backlit keyboard. Also it only provides 2 viewing angles. When I saw the lower price of the magic keyboard I got one. This keyboard is great. The keys are much better and feel like a real keyboard. The backlit keys are very important for you use. I also like having the USB C connection on the keyboard vs on the iPad only. The magic keyboard is much heaver than the Folio but this is not an issue for me. I like the way the iPad unfolds from the closed position much better than the Folio. I also like the built in Trackpad which works great. The only negative is that you cant fold the iPad back all the way to use in portrait mode this is a minor issue as you can easily take the iPad off the keyboard and us alone. For the price difference on Amazon I would strongly recommend the Magic Keyboard vs the Folio.

This is an extremely well-designed product. Yes it’s expensive, but you get what you pay for. The typing experience is beyond comparison with all other iPad keyboards I tried. The backlighting is excellent. Portability and ease of use are exceptional. And to my surprise I do not miss the function keys. The Globe key provides access to all kinds of functions, and trackpad gestures take the place of many more. The trackpad, BTW, is without comparison. All in all Apple hit another home run. If you want the best, then you should consider this device, and be willing to pay the price or wait for a deal. I got mine on sale on Amazon at a 30% discount.
