So far this laptop has performed as expected. Updates went off without a hitch. Only complaint was my finger ID works on and off. I will try resetting it again because it is so handy for eliminating typing in my password.

Simple version. Windows has to be able to operate on quite literally billions of different hardware configurations and support all of them. OS X needs to be able to run on, what 200 different hardware configurations? What this means is that what the Mac does, it does in an unparalleled way. The hardware is top notch. The T2 chip is the future, it quite simply makes this laptop unhackable. ALL hard drive data is encrypted so your data is never on your machine in the clear. Never. No way to hack this machine. Use a strong password and register a couple fingerprints and you can be confident your data is safe. Performance is outstanding for what it is. Splurge for the most memory you can afford it is the one area I wish I had spent more on.

Really a struggle moving over from a PC think before you consider the change
