When the monitor isnt getting a signal, it makes a slight buzzing sound, which is super annoying. This happens when it is turned off, or when in sleep mode. Does anyone else have this problem? Other than that, the picture quality is great. I had the prior generation also, and it didnt make any such buzzing sound I decided to return the item since the clicking/buzzing annoyed me. others dont seem to have this issue, so perhaps its unique to my unit. wont be trying with another of the same model

Nice middle of the line monitor. It works as it should. I don’t use it 8 hours a day so it should last a while

I did a bad thing and wasnt paying attention to my monitor was and whacked it with something. I panicked since Ive only had the monitor for less than a year. I looked into the AOC warranty and found that they offered a one-time free replacement within the first year of purchase. I didnt believe this would be true, but I filed the warranty claim anyways. It took forever for someone to get back to me (I also had to call three times), but I was finally issued a RMA number. I had two options: give them a credit card so they could put a temporary hold on it. This would allow me to receive a new unit before returning the old one, and the hold would be removed once they received the defective unit. The second option was for them to supply a return label and I return the unit, the standard replacement process. I chose option number 2. Today I received my tracking number for my replacement monitor. At no cost.

I bought this because its the only wide monitorI could find in my price range that fits under my desk hutch. Its not a terrible product for the price. Build quality is pretty solid. The screen curves slightly at the very edges (think of a recurved bow), so those 2 or 3 columns of pixels can drop out of sight, depending on how close you are to the monitor. It sounds worse than it is, just kind of a weird quirk. If you set your desktop wallpaper to black and turn off your lights, you can see very faint glow/discoloration in the corners. Dont know if thats common to this product, or just the one that I received. Again, very subtle and not noticeable during regular use. After some back & forth with their customer support — which isnt theirs, really, its some 3rd party service — I have come to the conclusion that this monitor does not support 16:9 aspect ratios. It supports 21:9, 16:12, and 4:3. If you want to run an older game that doesnt support ultrawide resolutions, you can forget it. This monitor wont allow 2560x1440 or 1600x900. Looks like Ill be playing Unreal Tournament in crappy windowed mode. If AOC simply hired a Dev to write a display driver to allow 16:9 — like every other widescreen monitor out there — this would easily be a 4-5 star product. As it is, meh. Its ok. UPDATE: Their customer service contacted me after this review, insisting that if I couldnt get 16x9 on their monitor that it because of something wrong with computer setup. My system is a brand new PC with Win11 install and RX6800 video card -- all software & hardware patched with the most recent updates. So the claim that my system is the problem is utter BS. Minus one star for trying to gaslight the customer. Do not buy product. Save your money for a better monitor - from a company with better customer service.

The monitor it’s self is very good just not very happy about the back of it being all scratched up

I use this as a home office monitor, driven by a Nvidia 1060 video card, and do a fair amount of getting killed in Fortnite. The monitor is great, but there seems to be a visible distance between the LCD shutters and the backlight, where I can see the icons move around and the edge of the screen. Its only distracting in some Windows apps and only when Im looking for it. Overall Im happy.

Used mostly for work/entertainment, not gaming. So read below with the knowledge that I cannot touch on gaming quality or performance. I have 2 computers attached, one with DisplayPort using NVidia 3080 and the other via HDMI using Intel UHD Integrated Graphics 620 and both are able to display the full resolution. Pro: Great price for a large, quality monitor. Stand is adjustable (no locking mechanism, stand uses the monitors weight when attached to allow smooth up/down motion, could not move vertically without monitor attached) which I didnt find many at this price point. Text on screen is very easy to read, video/movie quality is excellent as well. Speakers are not stand alone speaker quality and has almost no bass, but is usable and better than my previous monitors built in speakers. Buttons to control are easily reached. Monitor was packaged well by the manufacturer for shipping. Cons: Included instructions were useless, as was trying to find online, had to figure out myself. Stand legs in back are short and allow it to be placed near the back of the desk, but the front legs are long and while spread out, ,they intrude on my desk in front of the monitor eating up usable desk space (especially if you are not looking directly on and have it rotated left/right to view). The biggest con (and why it didnt get a 5 star rating) is the delay in switching inputs...

Was looking to upgrade from my old 27 monitor and wanted something to enhance my gaming experience. This monitor really hits the spot, took me a few days to get used to the curve but I quickly learned to love it! There are so many settings for different modes of viewing that is a HUGE bonus in my opinion. Also couldnt bet the price! Would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade.

AOC CU34G2X 34 (just 2 days of use, and Im writing this review only for colors and the color and performance of this monitor so far.) The colors of the monitor are great after some adjusting, download the software of the AOC website, dont bother with the buttons on the display, they are like tires on a chopper lol. The customization diversity of this panel just makes me emotional, only if u knew how much time I spent on my previous monitors for color adjustments. It comes factory calibrated, with a bit brightness and contrasts adjustments, it definitely looks much better than my 27inch IPS HD(400) monitor ever did. After trying IPS, TN, and VA panels, I can say that I definitely prefer a Va panel for gaming and movies. This monitor also gives color profile options for reading and other types of tasks. Ive read and researched a ton about panel types, functions, and anything that distinguishes one monitor from another. Almost everyone has said that if you care about colors pick IPS, and TN if you care about performance, and VA is just something in between. I can say that because of their internal structure, It seems to me VA panels look much more vivid, easy to see and distinguish what is happening in a video or game much better than other types. I think if you are like me, who wants colors to pop up, the details in a small picture to be as colorful and vivid as when they are in full picture mode, you should try a good VA panel. And This panel so far didnt disappoint, I tried a week, and couldnt get a picture on a 1440 IPS panel to pop as in this 1440p VA panel. I played with settings of this monitor for about 20 minutes and it looks better than the 1440p IPS panel ever did. There are lots of settings to adjust colors, brightness, picture mode, and contrast. Not even some very expensive panels dont allow you to adjust as much as this monitor lets you. The game performance is pretty good, the colors are good, Ive no complaints so far. I definitely recommend this monitor to everyone. Update: I was really happy with this monitor until I started to play some fast first-person shooter games. Unfortunately like most VA panels, this panel also has smearing during fast movements. Im not sure how that is possible on a 1ms monitor, but it is quite bad if you would like to have responsive gameplay.

Only had for a few months. Back light already bleeding through the top left and right halves. I always shut down my monitor after using. I might put an average of 3hrs a day on it if that. Monitor has had ghosting since day 1. Tried about every setting I could to get rid of it. Disappointed.
