I dont know much about monitors, never really cared about it lookin fancy but my boys were teasin me about playing on an old tv so I bough this. They seemed impressed and theyre those picky gamer types so its probably real good. Whatever, that aint the reason Im writing this review. After about 6 months one of the guys tossed me somethin, it went right into the monitor, CRACK, screen was done. I was googlin to see if this was in my wheelhouse to fix and I found out that THEY WILL REPLACE IT FOR A YEAR EVEN IF ITS YOUR FAULT. So I tried calling em, not expectin much. YO THEY AINT LYIN. They had me mail it in and sent me a replacement right away. Using it right now. No run around, no bs, just like YOU GOOD, SEND IT IN. MAN. An actually good company that makes a good thing and stands by their guarantees. Im sold. AOC for life.

This review is for the 34 CU34G2X UltraWide QHD 3440x1440 monitor. Used for about a week before writing this. This is the best monitor Ive ever seen with my own eyes! The curve is perfect, not too much, not too little. Its really immersive for gaming in particular. And for reading online and working for long durations the curve still looks great and is not distracting. Looks amazing on its own, even without content! Solid metal stand and wide metal feet. Very sturdy. The metal feet have lots of solid, grippy rubber pads on them so it stays right where you put it. The screen isnt too glossy or too matte. The red trim is well placed and not over done. It looks very modern and professional, but still calls attention to itself like a gaming monitor should! Refresh rate does indeed go up to 144hz no problem in games and in Windows 10. Color reproduction is really good to my eyes. They include a printed sheet with the color calibration results for your specific monitor with serial number, so AOC really is going the extra mile to prove that these really are high-end monitors. This is a super low latency VA type panel. So it is the best looking panel type from a technical and color reproduction perspective. IPS panels traditionally had lower refresh rates than VA panels, but this monitor proves you can have the best looking VA panel type, AND super low 1ms refresh rates. Games look amazing in the ultra-wide format. Halo on PC for example actually gives you a full field of view with this monitor, same with Rocket League. So you do actually get an advantage in some games. You literally can see more of the field of play with the ultra-wide aspect ratio 21:9, than anyone else stuck on the 16:9 ratio that most 1080p or 4k monitors use. Brightness is great, even too bright at highest settings unless your in a really bright room. So thats nice to have if its needed. All brightness and contrast settings and even gaming profiles are adjustable through physical buttons under the monitor, but also through the G-menu software. So using the G-menu software you dont need to fiddle with the physical controls of the monitor at all to fully adjust and control the monitors settings. G-menu even has hot-keys so you can change your monitor settings to different profiles almost instantly. You can download the G-menu software from AOCs support website. Make sure to use the included DisplayPort cable with this monitor. The HDMI ports dont have the same capabilities as the DisplayPort connectors. To get freesync, 144hz, and native 3440x1440 resolution all together; you MUST use either of the two DisplayPort connectors on this monitor. AND make sure your not just converting from HDMI at the source to DisplayPort. The source signal from your PC also needs to be DisplayPort. There is also a usb3.0 cable included. You can use it to hook it to your computer, then you can use the monitor as a USB 3.0 hub. Power Delivery is off by default on the USB 3.0 ports, but you can enable it via the monitors settings menu, or through the G-menu software. Amazing monitor, highly recommended.

I got this monitor about a month ago. I put off this review because i was skeptical. All those specs for under 400. Pros: cheep, great picture quality, good size, and great specs. Cons. It has an aqward pixel resolution. So the pixel resolution looks great. The only thing that makes it aqward is not all games even newer ones have a setting for it. But i have found its not much of a problem you just need to spend time getting as close as you can on the game settings. The main game i had a problem with was overwatch 2. The best i could get is good and not a problem for a casual player. But i still have two small black bars on the side on it. Do i recommend? Yes. Absolutely. My brother has the neo g5 and spend about 100-200 more on it then i did on this one. This one is not only cheep but from what me and my brother have found is that it also preforms better then the g5. The build quality is great, the specs are compeating with a lot of the higher grade monitors. Highly recommend

Nice middle of the line monitor. It works as it should. I don’t use it 8 hours a day so it should last a while

I was very lucky and was able to snag a AOC CU34G2X for $450.00 here on Amazon brand new (using a Radeon VII). I mostly play MMOs now so I am not a FPS/Shooter type player (been there, done that back in the 90s for FPS/Shooters) . I am not using the stand it came with since I already have a VESA triple mount stand (Ergotech triple stand). The VESA mounts I have that came with the Ergotech stand fits in perfectly on the back of the Ultrawide monitor for I just had to undo the 4 screws that are in the back of the monitor, put the VESA plate on and put the screws back in then just hang the monitor on my stand. I really did not have to fiddle with the colors/contrast for it is really great as is when you turn the power on and boot up the system (plugged into a Radeon VII) but I will say the controls for the monitor are a little odd yet the odds are one will not be fiddling with them for long so once you have your settings you will not be using the controls for quite a while. As for light bleed I might have been lucky since it is very nil and for the flickering I have read it was doing that slightly the first day but I have done a few things and updated the Radeon software to 20.4.2 and no flickering at all. I must say it is a little bright so if one wants too you can turn the brightness down but for me I have adjusted quickly to it as is. I have read some people harp on the bezel but for me I really do not mind the bezel around this monitor. It is not thick in my book (I mean it is not even a $500.00) so I really have nothing bad to say about the bezel. It does not have any built in speakers which I can go either way for I usually use my headphones BUT I do plan on buying some external speakers in the near future anyway. It did not come with a manual, but then again a quick look online one can find it yet it should not be a big thing to include one with the monitor since it is only 28 pages. All in all I really got my bang for the buck with this monitor and I think if you are just venturing into the ultrawide world then this is a great monitor to start with.

I was looking for a really good, yet budget-friendly monitor for my first PC setup and stumbled upon this absolute masterpiece of a monitor. For $230, I got a 32 165hz 1ms monitor, which is already a steal, but on top of that, this monitor, in particular, is adjustable, which comes in very handy, and is overall amazing. The red trim may be concerning to some people, but I have a strictly black-and-white setup and it works fine. Ive seen people paint it, but honestly, I can barely even tell. The red is on the bottom and some of the back, which is against the wall. I dont think it really matters what it looks like from the back-bottom angle, plus if you have LED lights in your setup or in your PC, it makes no difference. Also, when I set this up, the default setting was 60hz, so you have to manually change it in settings to 165hz.

I upgraded from a really old benq monitor xl2420t 24 inches 1080p 120hz 1ms, in 2011 this monitor was a beast, served me well for gaming and photo editing since it had 95% srgb color but after 10 years of use the monitor started showing a pixelated zone in the middle of the screen, it started small but grew over time. it definitely was time to buy another monitor. I came across with this AOC CU34G2X it checked all the boxes i set for an upgrade, ✅ ultrawide, ✅ bigger than 24 inches, ✅ 100% sRGB color, ✅1440p, I was a little worried about the curve regarding the photo editing part specially with perspective and rotation of photos but after a few mins of looking at it the curve is not noticeable, its like your brain knows theres a curve but you dont see it that way, it just feels natural. Overall it is an excellent monitor, ive been using it for almost a year with no complains. The only thing i think AOC should mark better in the frame where the buttons are located, the frame is black and the markings are just engraved in the black frame, they are not painted in different color, it was annoying setting up and calibrating the monitor i had to guess the buttons by touching them but that happen in the first hour of using the monitor, after it was calibrated and set up ive never had the need to have painted markings for the buttons.
