I just upgraded to this monitor and what a difference. I updated my whole computer 2 years ago but never change the monitor. I saw a huge difference then and I saw another one when I switched to this monitor. Fast response times and great fps. Cant beat this monitor for price.

The panel is good, without any dead pixel. Simple, good hertz for the price. The crosshair is terrible, can modify o customize, but i dont needed so, its OK that come with this.

This monitor is great if you’re wanting something that’s 1440 and can run at 160fps, but don’t want to spend ridiculous amounts of money. Build quality is great and has performed well so far. There was some slight screen stuttering when I first started using it, but it seems like the settings I eventually landed on has made them go away or become very minimal as I can’t see it happening anymore. Giving 4 stars just because of the screen stuttering at first, not sure if that’s something that is consistent among these monitors or not.

After buying a ViewSonic monitor and being disappointed by the fact that it could not render 1440 P at 120 Hz on the Xbox series X, I decided to give this AOC monitor a try. To my delight all I had to do was plug it in and turn it on and immediately I was able to get 1440 P at 120 Hz and HDR 10 on both the PlayStation five and the Xbox series X without a problem. I wish I would’ve gone for this monitor on the first try. I highly recommend it, if you are looking for a quality gaming monitor don’t hesitate to buy this one. The AOC CQ27G3S is awesome!!

Update #2 : Just bought myself a second AOC monitor, this time the 34 ultra wide 2k 144mhz. A very good monitor for gaming! So far Im liking this monitor a good deal. Its what Id expect. There is definitely better but absolutely nothing wrong with this one for the price point. You definitely want to have g-sync/adaptive sync off though. If youre getting this for that, then look elsewhere. But honestly both those features are pretty irrelevant IMO. Ive tested numerous gaming monitors from cheap to rich pig expensive and not one time was I ever like oh wow! That g-sync really made my experience better! In this monitors case, I find that it reduces performance while not improving picture quality much. Other than that its great.... no dead pixels, only slight ghosting on black screens, pixel response time is fast enough (again, as long as g-sync/adaptive sync are both turned off). Brightness is more than satisfactory for any room that isnt quite literally a room surrounded by glass windows. (outdoor use in the sun would be a bit rough, but who does that?) I have two primary complaints : 1) The curvature pretty much does nothing, as it is too slight for a monitor 27 or larger (i got the 27 here). Might be ok for a 24 or smaller. 2) Every single cable it came with was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Even the power cord! This is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Luckily I had higher quality versions already available to me. Id recommend this to any gamer who isnt a top tier e-sports player and wants to spend a reasonable (as opposed to excessive) amount of money on a good monitor. I WOULD NOT recommend this to anyone who thinks g-sync and adaptive sync are essential to their gaming. Obviously considering my cable issues, Id also recommend you purchase your own ahead of time.

(I didnt see a lot of reviews for the AOC 24 Curved Gaming Monitor Model: C24G1A, so I wanted to share) (In my photo, the AOC is the monitor in the middle) I game on my PC and have been using a nice budget HP 24 monitor (240vha) which was the #1 bestseller on Amazon for quite some time. I dont have a ton of money but wanted to upgrade to a monitor with a faster refresh rate and see if it really made a difference. The game Ive mainly played is NBA 2k21 (and a little bit of GTA V). Ive owned and used this monitor for 1 day now and I will try to remember to come back in the future and update. Despite not the best at displaying the full color spectrum, they are very vibrant and you can dial up a ton of contrast and brightness. I have the brightness turned all the way down and its still almost a bit too bright for my eyes but may Ill adjust over time. It is indeed a 165mhz monitor. It stands up to those refresh rates and I havent had any issues with ghosting, motion blur, dead pixels, or power issues. For most day-to-day gamers, this is a great monitor if you cant afford a bigger brand (but in some cases you are just paying the extra dollars for the name when the products are virtually the same). If you are an e-sports professional or getting paid to game for a living, this might not be the best monitor for you. This is the only monitor Ive owned with 165mhz or 144mhz rates so I dont have anything to compare it to however for my first gaming monitor, its a heckuva good buy for the price. I must have caught it on sale because the price has gone up $23 in 4-5 days...i only paid $144 (and yes, its new, not refurbed). For a sub $150 price tag, youll be hard pressed to find a better deal on a 24 curved monitor that supports 165Mhz. Youll definitely want to go into the monitors settings and play around. We all have different tastes and likes and there are a lot of color modes and options to dial in a satisfying picture for all users. I work and game on this monitor/PC so it will be getting extensive use (8-15 hrs a day) and I will try to remember to come back and update my rating in due time. *update* After 2 months of usage, the monitor has an issue. I have a pixel that gets stuck on red when it is trying to reproduce darker colors. It works fine when its white or black but any other darker color and the pixel get stuck on red. ive added a picture of the pixel for reference. Ive had monitors with dead pixels before but never an issue like this....very odd. Ive contacted AOCs customer support for an RMA but am skeptical that it will be considered a covered defect. I am outside of my 30 day return window so Amazon is unable to replace it for me. A refund was offered by Amazon minus a restocking fee but that wouldnt come near close enough to cover the cost of a replacement. I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 and will update my review again after I hear back from AOC.

As the title itself states, this is a well crafted monitor from AOC. Which to be honest I am quite surprised, since most AOC monitors are budget based, meaning cheaper in quality, but better in price. This monitor, on the other hand, excels on almost all levels for a VA display. It probably helps that the panel they are using is from Samsung themselves. Regardless it functions as well as it should in terms of sharpness control, contrast ratio, color reproduction, gamma levels, response times, input latency and so much more. Of course always make sure to test each monitor you obtain using the website lagom.nl/lcd-test, for itll help you in adjusting the picture quality just right. Also consider using blur busters ghosting ufo testing tool kit, for this will help you in adjusting the overdrive settings within your monitor. In the case of this particular one, medium overdrive should work just fine for any refresh rate/freesync variable. Fortunately for this particular monitor, most of the default settings work just fine and dont require extensive amounts of tweaking in order to get it to optimal levels. Overall, I strongly recommend this monitor, especially for anyone who has been using IPS panels for almost all there life. For the contrast ratio of a VA is especially big in comparison to a regular IPS panel With most IPS panels youll be getting blacks that are closer to grayish-black than actual black like in depth, contrarily, with VA panels, youll be getting inky blacks. Let it also be noted that freesync works wonderfully with this monitor and with an nvidia graphics card as well. In addition there are no issues with sharpness clarity as some reviewers have mentioned before and the viewing angles are top notch; They are not as great as IPS panels, but they most certainly excel against TN panels without a doubt.
