Great CPU. Seeing sustained 4.8+Ghz during gameplay. Idle temps are around 37C while gaming temps are around mid 50s to mid 60s using an AIO cooler. If you own a 3000 series CPU (3600 or 3700x) you probably wont see a drastic performance increase. I had a 3700x and I would say that the performance improvement is there...but not drastic. I have this installed on a MSI B550 motherboard along with a Nvidia 3080FE. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Great processor if you get it for MSRP, yes it has a hot spot that always runs hot. Hits 90C while doing Cina bench with a 240mm liquid cooler. For gaming it sits 60-74c depends on the game. I think this is hot since I’m coming from a de lid 7700k running at 5Ghz at 70c.

The 5800X was a great value even before the price dropped with the announcement of the 7000 series. This thing can’t be beat now since it is half the original MSRP. Pick this up!
