AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Processor with Wraith Spire LED Cooler - YD2700BBAFBOX

Great all around, especially for the price I got it for ($181.00) the price gap for a ryzen 7 2700x and up was just to great for the performance you can get out of this with OC. Would recommend higher up if you are not into messing with the OC, but if you are great price to performance here.

If you find this Processor on sale and you need to upgrade. Probably the best option for your budget. Great for productivity and gaming. Wasnt able to OC to 4.1Ghz though. I can only OC to 4.0Ghz not a crazy difference though

I think ryzen 7 is better of gaming is not your genre , I am a programmer, multitasking an heavy lifting softwares like android studio running several emulator and simulator are part of the job , so extra thread and cores come handy . Go for it !

Save $$ and just overclock this to a 2700X, Im at 4.0ghz @ 1.325v. Performs about the same as a 2700x with XFR.

The best bang for the watt and the buck if youre building a desktop PC. Period.

CPU works great, not had any issue with it for the past few months, however the stock fan was so loud I had to change it.

I upgraded from AMD-6300FX processor to this one. To be honest for day to day tasks the old CPU worked just fine. However for video encoding it was showing its age. This CPU works great, it cut my encoding times by half. I run Windows 7 which still works just fine as long as you install Wufuc software. I picked this CPU vs the latest one for the price since to me this presents a better value. Paired with RTX 2070 Super I get 120+ FPS in FarCry5 which is good enough for me. I mostly built this machine for machine learning tasks and it works great for that.

AMD’s encoding on the Ryzen 2700 is everything you could ask for in a streaming PC. But is it everything you could ask for in gaming rig?

I was excited about my build and this processor. Put it in my asus 470x prime pro motherboard and absolutely nothing. Absolutely nothing, I reassembled everything and tried again. Absolutely nothing. Motherboard powers up but the cpu wont budge. I am thoroughly disappointed. The motherboard receives power from psu, fans turn on. rgb lights come on. I purchased in September but waited to assemble all my components. I am stuck with a lemon. Jesus help me.
