The performance is great and it was a drop-in upgrade for my 3600. The problem is that they increased prices 50% while only offering a 20% increase in performance. If you want value, buy a used 3600. Those should sell for about half the price as this and give you 80% of the performance. I only recommend this CPU if all you want is more performance for AM4. Also keep in mind that a refresh offering a further 15% performance increase is coming to AM4 early 2022, so wait for that if you can.

Unless youre trying to run things in 4k ultra HD with ray tracing, this is a great processor to use.

Upgrading from Ryzen 2600 and its so good. Its a great budget CPU. I paired it with Asus B550 Tomahawk and got Noctua NH-U12S redux cooler. Works like a charm. I did upgrade the BIOS on the MB just to be save even though it said you dont have to.
