I have had this laptop for less than 12 hours and already have issues.

I got this laptop on the Black Friday for $928 which was a great deal for a laptop with these specs. Acer has done a good job on this one. This laptop has a great build quality, most of it is metal so it feels good to the touch. Its quite thin and has a fair weight. To me it doesnt feel that heavy, I can easily carry it around with me in my backpack and although it weighs 2.3 KG (5 pounds), about 3 KG with the power adapter its weight has been distributed evenly so that it is portable. The screen quality is good, is bright enough and color accurate. Content looks great on this laptop, colors are vibrant and games look great. Performance of this laptop is awesome due to the fast Intel Core i7 9750H CPU, 16GB dual channel RAM and fast Kingston NVME SSD. It boots up in just 14 seconds and if you disable the boot animation and sound (via Predator sense software) on startup then just 9 seconds. Applications load noticeably fast while in some games I hardly see the loading screen!. The Nvidia GTX 1660ti GPU is a solid performer with most triple A titles acheiving over 60 fps on high settings. Many have complained about the screen bleeding issue, I havent noticed it at all even in dark games. The laptop only comes with the 256 GB Kingston NVME SSD drive however Acer has included 2 slots extra for expansion of storage one for a M.2 NVME SSD and another for a 2.5 drive (Hard Disk or SSD). I purchased a Silicon Power NVME 1TB SSD drive and its working well. The speakers are average in my opinion and they do not get very loud. You can adjust the sound via the waves audio app which will slightly improve sound quality but not by much. There are plenty of ports but their placement is very awkward especially the power port. If youre connecting the power adaptor, LAN cable and a USB device things become crowded. I think Acer should have done a better job in port placement. The Aero Blade fans do a good job at keeping thermals at a minimum. When just doing regular tasks such as web browsing or MS office apps then you can even hardly hear the fans and temperatures are at around 30 - 35 degrees celcius. When gaming is when the fans crank up and are annoyingly quite loud. To reduce temps further I have used Throttlestop to undervolt the CPU (videos are there in YouTube on how to do this). Also MSI afterburner can be used to undervolt the Nvidia GPU. Wifi and LAN ethernet speeds are great thanks to the Killer Wifi and Ethernet cards. Also the Killer Control center app is great as it prioritizes network traffic based and your most used apps e.g if you do a lot of gaming then it will optimise for gaming.

Probably the best laptop ive had! It was reliable even though I abused it by playing all games in max settings and getting too hot. The Kingston SSD inside of it was a tad bit slow and low in memory. The only reason why I decided to switch to a Desktop.

I like that product but theres a very huge disappointed point, theres no software to disconnect the battery to charge so your battery will be charged all the time you plugged in, I dont know how they missed that software, I should plugin all time to get the higher performance but in that way you will lost you battery life

Can’t listen to music or watch practically any media without headphones because the speakers are worth probably $5. If you try and game on the laptop your fans are going to spin as fast as physically possible, pushing out a large amount of warm heat right onto your hand. The webcam quality looks like its from a nintendo DSI. Please don’t waste your time with this laptop :-]

It should be mentioned that there is only one aeroblade 3d fan in it. Left side fan is really weak compared to the right.

This PC started out well enough, though from the beginning it ran pretty hot. The problems began about 6 months after purchase, when some games would crash the PC, resulting in blue screen of death. I found that if I turned down graphics settings and used a pad with a cooling fan under the PC, it helped. However, jump ahead 2 year later, and games are basically unplayable. Every game, no matter how graphically demanding (or not demanding) results in a crash within 1 minute of loading, even if just sitting in the menu.

Did not perform as it should and leaves much to be desired.

Its very overpriced for its performance. Its a slow machine with heating issues. My laptops motherboard burned within a week I could thankfully return it. Dont take chances with this laptop, its an overpriced brick.
