Edit: after a little over 2 years of use, the display port plug stopped working. I tried different cables and combinations with my graphics card to confirm it is the display port on the monitor. The hdmi port still works, but limits it to 120 refresh rate. Kinda stinks, but still a good purchase. The picture is great, but the real gravy here is the response time. My last monitor was also 1ms, but was 60 fps. The difference between that one and this one is insane. Make sure you use a display port cable and set windows to be 144 fps. Loving how instant everything is. Moving pictures are very clear, its super easy to read moving text. Also the stand it comes with is amazing. I was planning on getting monitor arms, because I like my monitors a bit higher up then most stand accommodate. (If your sitting up straight and looking straight ahead, you eyes should be just below the top of the monitor). But the stand can have the monitor high enough that I dont need one. Also it rotates and can even tilt the monitor to be in portrait mode, which is pretty cool. 100% recommend. Great performance monitor for the price. I will be getting 2 more for my side monitors because I hate the delay that I now feel when using any other monitor.

I returned this monitor after about three days. 144hz is great, but if you care enough to get that kind of refresh rate, youll care that this monitor makes it look bad. ---- As far as 144hz monitors go, this is about the cheapest you can get. And it shows. Youll see lots of reviews about how poor the color looks on this screen - and theyre right. Some of them, and other places on the internet, will tell you that this screen can be improved with manual color calibration. While thats *technically* true, it will never come close to any other monitor Ive had in terms of color range. No matter what settings or color profiles I installed, the colors always looked washed out. Im not a big videophile or anything like that, but I couldnt use this monitor with any other monitor I own because the difference was incredibly noticeable - and nauseating. After never worrying about colors on my other monitors, this was a stressful experience that I did not anticipate. Many LCD monitors advertise a precise viewing angle at which to view the screen. On this monitor, the viewing angle is SO small that the top and bottom of your screen will always look slightly off, and only the very middle will maintain the appropriate colors - or near to them, since the poor screen color problem still exists there. ---- I will say that I liked the stand - high range of motion, good angles, rotation great. However, its LARGE. The stand base is about a foot, in a circle, and it didnt fit comfortably on my desk. I had to move my keyboard farther forward to make room, and move my desk itself away from the wall to let it hang over a bit. This may not be a problem if you have a large desk, but just be aware.

These monitors are really very nice for $199. I bought 2 to set up on either side of my (also Acer) Predator 144Hz 35in monitor. I set them both up vertically to multitask and do home network monitoring. The fact that these cant rotate either direction sort of bothers me, as Id love to do some more in depth cable managing. Finding a good angle on the right monitor is a bit tough, but is doable. Colors are super washed when first set up, 10 minutes of tinkering made a world of difference. All in all, for $200 a pop, these are a great deal. I cant speak for longevity, but they feel and look pretty premium. The stands they come with are superb and adjustable to almost the max. I just wish they could tilt either way, and not just to the left.

I bought this for the response time and the 144hz refresh rate, but the color issues are making me consider returning it. I like that it comes with a height/tilt adjustable stand--thats part of why I got this one over other options . The color and brightness issues I describe below are the main reason I give it 3 stars. I didnt think it would be as bad as it is. It has worked fine otherwise, so if you still think it wont bother you, it might be worth considering as a 144hz option, but I would recommend comparing it against other options first. *Color issues: I have noticed the frequently cited color issues. Out of the box, the colors are very off and very washed out. After calibrating the color and brightness, it looked a little bit better, but the colors were still off and inconsistent, and screen felt dim because of how low I had to adjust the brightness. The top left corner of the screen on my unit is also slightly more saturated than the rest of the screen which isnt noticeable unless the screen is a solid color like in some menus and on the Windows 10 ctrl+alt+delete screen. I know TN panels often have flat colors, but my laptop has a TN panel that does well enough. The color issues on this panel are extreme. Cables in the box: Mine came with a Displayport cable and a 3.5mm aux jack. You MUST use a Displayport or Dual-Link DVI cable to take advantage of the 144hz refresh rate. Otherwise, it will be capped at a lower refresh rate, so its nice that that was included. I will complain about the color, but props to Acer for including the right cable in the box.

As a disclaimer for this review, I am exploring this from the perspective of a lifetime user of a below average, OEM, 60hz or below monitor. I am by no means the expert authority on displays. - The build quality is noticeably solid and has some weight to it. - The base and arm allow full ergonomic movement in every direction to include up, down, left, right, and full rotations. This is an impressive feature for such an inexpensive monitor. - With all of the negative reviews across the internet damning TN panels for having bad color reproduction, I find it hard to believe we are talking about the same monitor: Not only does this panel have a crisp image and good color reproduction, it is also extremely bright. In addition, I didnt notice any bleeding or dead pixels. - High refresh rate use and gaming is now noticeably better than ever. I cant, and will hopefully never, go back to 60hz. - G-sync compatible for Nvidia users out there. If yourre on the fence about this one, Do yourself a favor and ignore all other offerings at this price point from AOC, Spectre, and those other brands. Ive already done all of the headache and research for you in this regard. The only other monitor Id suggest looking at other than this is the BENQ zowie xl2411p.

I’m new to PC’s and recently got my first PC. This monitor works very well, and adjusts pretty easily. Occasionally, it has caused me trouble when it comes to being turned on, but I’ve just had to make sure that my computer is put on sleep mode or shuts down before I leave it. It was easy to assemble for a beginner like me, and the screen looks great. The audio is not the best, seems quieter than you may expect. I haven’t had trouble with gameplay, runs smoothly. Overall, I recommend it!

I have had this monitor for about a week now and I have to say this thing is great. I am using it for ps4 as of right now because I plan to get a pc in the future. Yes I know that 144hz isnt compatible with a console but as of right now this is all I have. Im mostly playing fortnite at the moment but I tested it out on other games and I literally just realized that there is a slight ghosting. Its nothing noticable at all but I was spaced out staring at my character while spinning and I saw like a small shadow or “ghosting” effect coming off his arm. Like i said nothing to worry about as I am guessing this wont happen on 144hz cause its a faster refresh rate and will be a ton smoother. I am just curious if anyone has this issue on theirs as well? This super unoticable ghosting is no reason why you should not get the monitor unless you notice a lot

Awesome monitor for gaming. Looks great, very easy on the eyes. The colors are widely adjustable directly from the monitor to suit any taste. Honestly I cant tell the difference between 75hz and 144hz when Im not gaming, but as soon as I jump into a game the differences become surprising. Stealth characters are easily distinguished among the background due to the high frame rates and the extra second of response time that can allow has provided me with kills in situations I would have had trouble with my old monitor. Further this monitor is easily adjustable in many ways. It easily slides up and down and stays very stable even without a lock (though personally a lock would be nice for when I pick it up to move it). The whole base turns easily and the monitor has a large tilt range up and down. It also switches to portrait mode very easily. All this adjustability makes sure that the TN monitor is always exactly in front of your eyes to provide the highest quality it can (since like many TN monitors it doesnt have a great viewing angle). The only annoyance with this is since the adjustments dont have locks whenever you move your monitor you need to readjust it, but how often do you move your monitor?

Literally an amazing monitor, and for the price it makes it that much more satisfying. My only complaint is that Acers out of the box colors are bland and kinda bleak even faded a little. (This is super repeated on reviews I know). With a little tweaking and fiddling with the built in adjustment menu it’s easily fixed and you can modify it to your liking to extreme lengths. I messed with it for like 2 hours after I achieved my desired appearance just because it was kind of fun. The menu is kind of cool and well setup. Only reason why it was 4.5 out of 5 is because I don’t feel like I should have to mess with settings unless it’s really that bad out of the box.. which it kind of was - but now that I got it set how I like it, I’m in love.

Bought this for Nvidias new G sync compatibility feature since this monitor is cheapest verified to work. It works perfectly for making use of the new technology. Just an FYI though, you NEED a DisplayPort to connect your monitor to the PC or you cant use G sync compatibility. The monitor comes with the proper cord but if you only have HDMI or DVI you cannot run the G Sync stuff. My PC had a port but it is something I didnt know until I was setting it up. Pros: -G Sync Compatible. -144hz with 120hz and 100hz settings. -Adjustable stand. -Nice picture. -Great price. -Fast shipping. Cons: -Viewing angle is a bit weird when monitor is above you. Brighter at the bottom and darker at the top. I found something of a sweet spot but there is no angle to avoid it being brighter at the bottom than the top. - Default profile is pretty bad and has a lot of gamma issues. I found an ICC profile that gave me proper black and colors and it looks great but took awhile to find one that got the blacks right. Especially at 144hz. Once you find the right profile it looks great though. -Takes awhile to warm up. You will notice that things look a bit desaturated and bright until its on for a bit.
